Abstract

This article explores the processes of the vocationalisation of secondary schooling in Russia as a way of achieving two of the current goals of educational reform in that country. These are, the development of a modern system of lifelong vocational education and an increase in the quality of vocational education. The article a argues further, that skills for employability, citizenship and sustainable development can be successfully developed through the early stages of lifelong vocational education programs.
