Objective: The One Stop Prostate Clinic (OSPC) is a rapid access prostate cancer assessment and diagnostic service.1 A unique feature is a phone call from the clinical nurse (CN) advising men of their biopsy results. We present an update of results from 173 respondents to a survey assessing the attitudes and preferences of notification of biopsy results in this manner.

Methods: A questionnaire was developed to examine the perceived advantages and disadvantages of the service and given to all men who agreed to notification of biopsy results via telephone call. The men were only given general information about their cancer diagnosis and multi‐disciplinary team recommendations. Survey responses are reported in Table 1.

Results:

Respondents with a cancer diagnosis report low levels of decisional regret regarding notification of biopsy results. Receiving a cancer diagnosis prior to follow‐up appointment may allow for improved dialogue and understanding of treatment options in the specialist consultation.
