Abstract

So you want to develop a tertiary course in Music Theatre? There is a common misconception that by offering some singing, dancing and acting classes you have provided all it takes to produce a successful performer in Music Theatre. It takes a lot more. My experience over some 26 years of delivering a high quality musical theatre program is the basis for this chapter on developing a tertiary course in Music Theatre. The chapter will explain the requirements to set up a program that will provide the best possible learning experience for your tertiary Music Theatre students.
