Abstract
The ‘Sunshine’ project is an example of large-scale collaboration across multiple contexts: schools, community services and community arts, and generations. This project brought together teachers, students, artists and community members who lived and worked in the Redlands City Council (RCC) region, an area. located on the south-eastern shores of Moreton Bay. Together they collaborated to create a large-scale performance, to be performed at the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC). In this chapter, the teachers and teaching-artists involved in Sunshine explain the genesis, processes of development, and the culmination in performance. In addition, they provide evidence of the impact that working on the project had on the students and the broader community.
