Abstract

With the enormous environmental and cultural diversity to be found in the countries of Asia, both international and domestic tourism have turned toward forms of ecotourism. In the Asian context this may be seen as tourism that relies on nature and culture as attractions, and which contributes to protecting them by minimizing impacts, educating tourists, and changing land-use practices.
