Abstract

Robust control technique handles the uncertainty and modeling errors, in the process modeling for designing control system, in a satisfactory way giving excellent set-point tracking and disturbance rejection performance. Basically this strategy is applied to the processes with unknown dynamics, non-availability of plant data and disturbances which makes the mathematical modeling of process difficult. In the present work an H-infinity loop shaping based robust controller is designed for a lime kiln process using MATLAB and hence the improvement in set-point tracking and disturbance rejection performance is observed.
