Abstract

Hospital-acquired Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia (SAB) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Serious clinical outcomes (e.g., septic shock, localized infection, and infective endocarditis) contribute to the health care burden at the individual, health service, and national level.
