For students who are currently in teacher preparation programs and who will be our new history teachers, there is a sense of a field which is under close scrutiny. This is not only about knowing the curriculum changes but also about meeting often conflicting expectations of what it is "to be a teacher of history". This sesson will examine the issues affecting the preparation of teachers of history in Faculties of Education.
