Abstract

Changes in the way the evidence of Aboriginal people is gathered by lawyers and police - five important elements P.R.I.D.E. - prior knowledge about the interviewee and the wider context - rapport with the interviewee - interpretative assistance - diverse array of hypotheses - effective techniques for eliciting a free narrative.
