Abstract
Changes in the global power balance and significant technological advances enabling an increasingly complex operations theatre environment have brought on a stringent need for evolved Defence doctrines featuring increased flexibility and responsiveness. On the other hand, collaborative ecosystems face an increasingly disruptive and turbulent industry environment requiring additional resilience and anti-fragility strategies. This paper examines potential synergies between the Defence and Collaborative Networks knowledge areas, whereby knowledge from one area may assist and complement the other. It is also proposed that this endeavour is supported by Enterprise Architecture modelling artefacts that provide the necessary expressiveness to structure and map the potentially intricate relevant concepts and models.
