Abstract
General practitioners (GPs) providing care to aged care residents are faced with many challenges, including the timely diagnosis and management of skin cancer. Skin cancer is described as an epidemic affecting older people.1 In 2018, Australia had the highest incidence of melanoma with an age‐standardised rate of 33.6 per 100 000.2
