Abstract

It is no exaggeration to say that maritime security concerns have become the most important drivers of foreign and security politics across East Asia and the Pacific. With Bridging Troubled Waters: China, Japan and Maritime Order in the East China Sea, James Manicom addresses a central aspect of these heightening tensions surrounding maritime space: the contention between Japan and China over waters of the East China Sea.
