Abstract
Heartsick and furious, I cannot begin this contribution without directly confronting the sickeningly visible violence against the civilian population of Gaza, including the almost 50 per cent that are under 18. Even with acknowledged undercounting of death and injury, UNRWA noted by March 2024, just 6 months into the violence, that more children had already been killed in Gaza than in the previous 4 years of world conflict.
