Abstract

We appreciate Drigny & Gauthier's insightful commentary on our article and their perspective on the eccentric external rotation to concentric internal rotation ratio (eccER: conIR) in the context of swimming. We would like to offer some further discussion and perspective as contributions to an ongoing conversation on this topic. First, it is important to recognize the current discussion is limited by a lack of substantial empirical data (in any direction) so clinical implications are unable to be firmly drawn at this stage.
