In the last ten years there has been a significant resurgence of interest in radio science. The field has been re-named "Electromagnetics", and has had a major impact on many aspects of the Australian way of life. With this new momentum, Professor Thiel talks about "Recent controversies in radio science" although the title should really have read "Recent controversies in electromagnetics" !
