This brief literature review wasperformed to support our belief, as yours, that transanal endoscopic microsurgery is in fact better oncologically than either mucosal re-section or direct trans-anal excision.2–6Though our study is only areview of results that conclusion is not at all drawn from our report.We wished to report our results from a regional centre, but unfor-tunately do not have the facility to perform a randomized study.I hope this clarifies any confusion regarding this statement.
