Abstract
The recommendations by the Prime Ministerial Task Group's Report on Emissions Trading for Australia to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions are analysed. It is suggested that investing in prevention of damage caused by climate change in Australia is preferable to investing in reducing emissions as Australia is a small, open economy whose emissions are negligible.
