Abstract

In this article, the term "reading-viewing" is written in the hyphenated form to draw attention to the similarities and differences between reading and viewing. Frank Serafini (2012) coined the term, conceptualising reader-viewers as those who attend to the structures and design of written words alongside visual elements.
