Abstract
It is difficult for teachers to create practical experiences for high school students in high technology areas. Reasons include lack of resources, little or no formal teacher training, no continuing professional development opportunities and no time for self-development. This paper reports and reflects on two student workshops designed for high school students to generate interest in electrical engineering.
