Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the abrasive waterjet (AWJ) milling performance. The milled channel characteristics are dominated by nine dimensionless variables representing the process parameters and material properties that govern the channel formation process. Predictive models considering these nine dimensionless variables are then developed for estimating the characteristics of the channels milled by an AWJ. The models are verified and found to agree well with the experimental data.
