Abstract

We read visual texts constantly throughout our days, when surfing the net, when navigating any computer software program, apps, bill boards, films, television, digital games, picture books, comic strips, graphic novels, YouTube, instagram messages, vines, memes, packaging and so on. The saturation of visuals in how we communicate suggests that visual literacy deserves much more attention than it currently receives in formal education.
