Abstract

Travel involves movements of people through time and space. Understanding the travel flows is helpful for management and marketing, as well as for investing and product development. China is Australia's fastest-growing inbound tourism market and the most significant contributor to international visitor spending. Therefore, understanding the travel patterns of Chinese visitors in Australia is a priority. In this work, data was collected and analyzed from Weibo posts using a particular name of cities or attractions in Australia. Paper examined the geographical travel patterns of Chinese tourists. Present the popularity of Australia destinations from Weibo posts and the combination of the travel patterns as results.
