Abstract
Occupational therapy entry-level education is where students are acculturated into the profession and learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that they require for practice. Curriculum in occupational therapy education programs is influenced by standards that include broad statements about the inclusion of the core concept of occupation; however, these can be interpreted and implemented in a variety of ways. Research has identified the crucial role individual educators have in teaching about occupation. However, there is a lack of research into how individual teachers educate. This study explored how Australian entry-level occupation-centred occupational therapy educators develop and enact their teaching. More specifically, it explored what factors from an educator's history influence their approach to teaching about occupation, what methods and approaches they use in the their university-based teaching, and why they use those methods.
