Abstract

Recent literature advocates that computer engineering of removable complete dentures have significant potential to replace the conventional technique. The purpose of this systematic review was to analyse the existing literature on computer-aided technology for manufacturing removable complete dentures and to explore the attributes and constraints related to subtractive manufacturing of computer aided design (CAD) /computer aided manufacturing (CAM) removable complete dentures from the clinician’s, dental technician’s and patients’ perspective, when compared with the conventional technique.
