Abstract
The objective of this paper is to propose a new use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for technology selection in the presence of both continuous and categorical data. To indicate the relative importance of the ANN inputs to the result of the network, a methodology for sensitivity analysis is presented. A numerical example demonstrates the application of the proposed method.
