Abstract

This chapter examines the impact of tourism on the dingoes of Fraser Island, and the aspirations of tourists in this nature-based tourism setting. As the uneasy relationship between wildlife and people on the island is explored, the crucial role of managers in this setting is highlighted. The case study investigates how management choices are made and what in?uences these decisions, before offering lessons for understanding factors affecting sustainable wildlife tourism in ecotourism settings.
