Abstract

Following an international trend and with the abundance of web based technology tools, most Australian pre-service teachers prepare a digital portfolio as part of their education studies. Their digital portfolios are prepared as collections of valuable evidence gained in their studies and mapped to the National Professional Standards for Teachers(Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, 2012). This presentation discusses the issues around: the use of standards; the design and development of a digital portfolio; maintaining a portfolio; evaluation of a digital portfolio; and concludes with recommendations for further research.
