Abstract

This paper proposes a PZT actuated valveless mixer which can serve as a valveless micropump as well as an efficient mixer. The fluidic response of the proposed device has been simulated by a transient fluidic simulation. The prototypes of the structure were also fabricated using 3D printing technology for experiments. The simulation and experimental results characterized the response of the device. The mixing effect was demonstrated by using differently dyed liquids at the inlets. Mixing performance of the devices can be evaluated using the capacitive structure.
