Abstract

Section IV showcases two contemporary, critical, human rights–based approaches to human traffi cking and exploitative labor conditions. The chapters investigate the impact of international trafficking policies for sex workers in India and Ivory Coast in West Africa. Each of these chapters presents local activism to address traffi cking driven by those most involved. This section closes with a conclusion that points the way forward for additional research.
