Abstract
This chapter considers trends in citations over time in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology (ANZJC) and examines the publications that criminology scholars within this region identify as ‘influential’ to their own work. In doing so, we acknowledge the significant existing scholarship that already contributes to our understanding of the history and development of the discipline within the Australia and New Zealand region (e.g., Braithwaite, 2013; Carrington & Hogg, 2012; Chappell, 2017; Cuneen & Tauri, 2017; Finnane, 2012; Rodgers & Stenning, 2017; Smith, 2017).
