Abstract
This book is a welcome addition to the body of literature in the field of palliative care nursing. Communication has and likely always will be a challenge in palliative care. This is for several reasons. Health care professionals can find communicating patient deterioration, dying and death difficult with other health care professionals. But initiating and engaging in communication with patients with a life-limiting illness and their significant others is often considered even more taxing.
