Abstract
The World Wide Web (WWW) and its associated browser-server technologies have become ubiquitous for the home, office and school environment. In the area of education, it has been argued that students can learn new ways of thinking and understanding by working in groups by P. Feltovich et al. (1996). We have developed a tool that allows a group of users to conduct unconstrained collaborative browsing sessions in real-time over the WWW. We have conducted usability studies with volunteer students from South East Queensland, Australia. Our results show that students learnt to use the tool effectively and enjoyed using it.
