Abstract

The article discusses Sino-Australian media exchanges and analyses the role of Chinese media in the conduct of public diplomacy. It addresses the issues encountered by Beijing in its efforts to enhance China’s soft power, suggesting that more workable and less extravagant measures are needed to rectify China’s negative image abroad.
