Abstract
Relevant to current discussion of ‘the corporatised university’, the article by Martin Crotty and Paul Sendziuk opens this issue – reporting the type of appointment, the gender and the seniority of History staff in Australian and New Zealand universities between 2016 and 2022. This was a period of declining student load (falling 22.9 per cent in Australia and 10.1 per cent in New Zealand).
