Abstract

In this chapter, two potential approaches to fight against SARS/COVID-19 have been covered. In the first part of this chapter, different nanosensor technologies, viz., colorimetric, electrochemical, and fluorometric, to detect the virus are given. In the second part of the chapter, different nanocarriers, viz. liposomes, polymer-based nanoparticles, dendrimers, and nano-based formations, for the delivery of drugs have been included. Such nano-engineered structures could administer the release of therapeutic agents efficiently. Finally in the conclusion, based on the evidence available in the literature, the sensor with the best performance and a nanocarrier with efficient delivery has been discussed.
