This book is a major contribution to the study of capitalist diversity, in general, and the speci® city of institutional difference, in particular. It is simply not possible in a brief review to do justice to the richness and originality of this large collection, but some indication of the book’ s potential importance can be given by listing some of the most prominent contributors. Included here are chapters by some of the most interesting and in¯ uential ® gures in contemporary theory, especially from Europe.
