Abstract

In considering the future trajectory of MBA programs, this paper advocates three main imperatives. First, the content of the MBA must evolve to place the sustainability imperative at the centre of its philosophical essence. Second, the delivery modes of the MBA must evolve to allow MBA programs to ride the digital revolution rather than clinging desperately to its tail. Third, MBA learning facilitators must be incentivised to change the content and delivery of MBA programs to achieve a greater focus on the needs of MBA candidates and of the business community that hires them.
