Abstract

In this issue of The Lancet Psychiatry , Jari Tiihonen and colleagues 1 have investigated the slightly increased risk of rare haematological malignancies associated with long-term use of clozapine. This important finding needs to be contextualised to the risks and benefits associated with the use of clozapine for treatment-refractory schizophrenia.
