Abstract
The sweet spot on a cricket bat is defined as the point where the ball receives maximum acceleration. Sweet spot impacts are accompanied by minimal jarring of the hands and forearms. Using 3 axis accelerometers mounted on the bat and the wrists, ball strikes were recorded for defensive drives along the ground.
