Abstract

Recently, much of the focus has been on UHF passive tags compared to the more established HF (13.56 MHz) and LF (125 to 134.2 kHz) technologies. The 860 to 956 MHz range of UHF has attracted most of the R&D investments. All of these are probably due to the Wal-Mart RFID mandate to their suppliers to follow suit using the UHF band for case-level and pallet-level supply-chain tracking.
