Abstract
The Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and the Queensland Trucking Association embarked upon a joint heavy vehicle safety initiative with the aim of investigating and determining the effectiveness of Guardian driver monitoring technology to reduce driver distraction, inattention, and fatigue episodes. The School of Applied Psychology, Griffith University were approached by the abovementioned parties to conduct the research.
