Abstract
This issue brief focuses on how governments have committed to global norms to end violence against women and girls, and the potential for more rigorous state practice that can be shared across borders to enhance those norms. It assesses the different international and multilateral mechanisms that member states have committed to, and provides examples of some of the different approaches taken by member states to implement these multilateral commitments and measure domestic efforts to address violence against women and girls as part of government policies.
