Abstract
Intercalation can induce novel optical and electronic properties in many materials. Here, we design the first triiodide-intercalated dielectric-switching hybrid (n-propylammonium)4·I3·BiI6, which displays a narrow bandgap of 1.34 eV, comparable to that of CH3NH3PbI3 (1.53 eV). Clearly, its semiconducting properties were solidly demonstrated by a notable carrier mobility efficiency, conductivity and photoconductive behavior.
