Abstract

Makes a close textual analysis of the rarely seen anthology film, Loin du Vietnam, made by the SLON collective (Societe pour lancement des oeuvres nouvelles/Collective for the launching of new works) and places it in the context of 1960s radical politics and political filmmaking. This entry adheres to the editorial brief to make an original contribution to documentary cinema scholarship while providing a historical and intellectual context for individual films and filmmakers.
