Abstract
This presentation draws on the results of a research project that examined the introduction of a new elementary school level technology program to suggest ways to help elementary students become more creative and innovative. The study examined students in 6 elementary schools using an instrument that measures the degree to which students are thinking creatively, after one year of study with the program. The presentation will provide a range of strategies that can be used to improve student creative and innovative thinking and thus improve the quality of our industrial technology society.
