Abstract
Before exploring definitions of workplace wellbeing, it is important to clarify the interconnection between workplace wellbeing and employee wellbeing. These constructs have a distinct scope and focus. Workplace wellbeing relates to the overall health and quality of the work environment itself (Li et al., 2021), and is concerned with the broader contextual and organisational characteristics that influence collective employee wellbeing within an organisation. These contextual and organisational factors contribute to a positive, supportive, and healthy workplace for employees. Factors such as organisational culture, leadership and management practices, job design, and the physical work environment, have been identified as elements within the workplace that influence the overall health and quality of the work environment.
