Results using a recent analytical solution for nonhysteretic redistribution in a bounded soil profile are compared with those obtained from using a well-established numerical approach. For the five cases studied excellent agreement is obtained. The good performance of the numerical package with the nonhysteretic flow system of this paper suggests that it can be used with confidence in modelling more complex hysteretic flows.
