Abstract
This article aims to derive lessons on sustainable geothermal operation and monitoring by reviewing the Ohaaki geothermal field along 3 dimensions:
- Ohaaki exploration, construction and consenting;
- Modelling and resource assessment;
- Operations and monitoring. Resource assessments are categorized according to UNFC-2009 Framework, which prescribes inclusion of Economic, Feasibility and Geological criteria/dimensions.
