Abstract

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common degenerative neurological disease, yet reported incidence and prevalence rates for Australia are very scant. This paper discusses the current state of the literature and provides some suggestions as to a way forward that will ensure that the Australian Parkinson's disease community is not disadvantaged by this scarcity of important local data.
