Abstract
Schools need to cater fur the learning needs of all Many students are at risk of disengagement and marginalisation during the middle years of schooling and this is more so for students with diverse needs (Garay 2003; Nelson 2005), The challenge for teachers is to provide effective and inclusive classroom and learning practices to minimise student disengagement, to decrease marginalisation, and to increase learning success. This chapter provides information about supporting the diverse learning needs of students in inclusive ways to address this challenge.
